I'm an actor who adores books! I never imagined I would become an actor, feeling misaligned with the extraversion that particular extracurricular seemed to require. I was a shy kid who grew up in a small town and lived next to a library until I was 18. The library was like a second home to me where I discovered my love of stories, my obsession with observing people, and my need to live multiple lives. Like many other sharp eyed introverts, stories and psychology were what lit the path toward my career as an actor. And now it feels as though my life has come full circle landing in audiobook narration.
Audiobooks are the intersection where all of my experience, training, and hobbies meet. I have over 10 years of experience as a professional actor in LA, classical voice training, and a degree in Theater from Emerson College. For fun, I lead a book club and moderate monthly discussions providing unique questions based on my research and analysis of the text. I've built a solid technical foundation as as an actor, but it's my it's my love of books that really drives my narration and this convergence allows me to bring an emotionally intelligent and thoughtful perspective to my work.
Some may call it an escape but, for me, stories are an integral part of our humanity, elevating our very existence, and inspiring empathy to make the world a better place. I'm humbled to be a part of that experience for others! Happy reading!
